Republican Harvard Physicist Mike Stopa to Join Motorcycle Ride to MA State House To Defend the Constitution

Michael Stopa, candidate for U.S. Congress in the Third District, will join the motorcycle ride to defend the U.S. Constitution on Wednesday, August 18th. The event is part of a nationwide effort to get legislators to understand the Constitution and uphold its principles.

The event will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the Motorsports International on Route 20 in Auburn, MA and will be arriving at the Massachusetts State House for a rally at approximately 3:00 P.M.

Following the rally, Stopa will travel to the Shrewsbury Town Hall for a 7:00 P.M. debate with his four Republican Primary opponents, an event sponsored by the Shrewsbury League of Women Voters.

Daren Gardner, a small business owner from Virginia set out on August 15th to ride his motorcycle to every state capitol in the country to deliver a copy of The Constitution to state legislators and ask them to sign a pledge to uphold it. He will be in Massachusetts on August 18th.

Stopa is running to replace incumbent James McGovern who was first elected to Congress in 1996. He is a nanotechnologist and a member of the Physics Department at Harvard University.
