Editor: We received the following message from Paul Mark, a candidate for State Representative in the Second Berkshire District.
 

Congressman John Olver has endorsed Paul Mark, Democratic nominee for state representative. Olver, along with Senator Ben Downing and other members of the Democratic ticket, will host an event for Mark on October 21 at 5:30pm at the Dalton American Legion, at 258 North Street.

“As our State Representative, Paul will work on behalf of our most rural communities to improve the quality of life there and to encourage economic growth in sectors across his district. I believe Paul will work to ensure that residents of the 2nd Berkshire District have a strong representative at the table, as they have had with Representative Guyer,” Olver said.

Paul Mark

Paul Mark, Democratic candidate for State Representative in the Second Berkshire district, has proposed a pair of initiatives aimed at drawing greater attention to Western Mass and providing highly personalized constituent services.

The first is Mark’s “Better Know A District” initiative, in which he vows to invite eastern Massachusetts legislators to his district during his first term. Mark contends that, rather than simply exclaiming that Eastern Mass forgets about our part of state, “I will be pro-active about educating my Statehouse colleagues about our way of life.”

Paul Mark

Paul Mark is a candidate for the 2nd Berkshire Representative District. We got this release from Paul Mark’s Campaign:

Dalton, MA – July 15, 2010 – Paul Mark, Democratic candidate for state representative in the Second Berkshire district, has received the endorsement of the Berkshire Central Labor Council.

The Council is a coalition of Berkshire County unions with 45 representatives from over 25 trade groups. The organization recently hosted a forum, and voted to endorse Paul after brief speeches and a question period from each of the candidates who were present.
