Marie St. Fleur announced Saturday that she was not running for re-election to Dorchester’s 5th Suffolk district. The Dorchester Reporter and the Boston Herald have more details.
It’s interesting that she was once briefly a candidate for Lieutenant Governor as running mate with Thomas F. Reilly in 2005. But after it was reported in the Globe that she had some significant unpaid federal taxes for the past four years she withdrew.
This leaves another open seat for November. Announced candidates are:

- Steve Wise (I)
- Althea Garrison
- Roy Owens
